About

Vilma grew up in Kaunas, Lithuania. From the young age of seven, she has been academically trained in classical piano. She graduated from First Music School in Kaunas. She furthered her studies at Music Academy in Lithuania. Then, Vilma graduated with a conducting and music teaching degree in 1993. From 1993-1997, she taught at First Music School.

Since moving to the U.S., she has been providing Long Islanders with piano lessons since 1999. Additionally, she has been an accompanist at St. Mark’s since 2002. Vilma has also become a member of SPTF (Suffolk Piano Teachers Foundation) and NAFME (National Association for Music Education).

Besides English, Vilma speaks Lithuanian and Russian; her favorite language, however, is the language of music. A quote that she loves is “Music speaks to all, when spoken words fail”. She continues to teach her students, both young and old, in hopes of giving everyone a voice, and connecting people through music.

Aside from her expertise in piano, her interests include fashion, theater, traveling, and architecture.
